Akashvani reported on 28 September that the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail project’s first steel bridge in Maharashtra had been launched at Dive-Anjur in Bhiwandi. The 100-metre structure crosses NH-3 and weighs 1,405 tonnes. Installation used night traffic blocks. The report put completed steel bridges across the corridor at 16 out of 28 planned. This construction milestone does not mean passenger services have begun.
